Our church is not just for grown-ups!

Children are a central part of our church life and full participants in the kingdom of God. We seek to involve them, nurture them and support them in loving God, others and the world.

Sunday Morning Shore Kids Programmes

During our service at 10am, we run five age-based programmes for kids:

Sprouts (newborns – 18 months). Sprouts is a fun, safe place for infants to play, crawl and explore. It includes developmental activities such as music, finger play games and rhymes.

Bounce (18 – 36 months). Bounce is a place of exploration where kids learn to wonder at the things God has made. Children hear stories from the Bible, learn the central truth that ‘God loves me,’ and are given opportunities to explore and discover.

Basecamp (3-4 year olds). At Basecamp, children launch into God’s amazing story. They experience creative teaching around the ideas that ‘God love me,’ ‘God made me,’ and ‘God wants to be my friend.’ During small group time, children do fun activities where a leader helps them apply the story of the Bible to their lives.

Boost (primary school children). In Boost, kids get charged up in the word of God and inspired to boost up those around them. Boost features activity stations, where kids connect with friends and leaders; a large group teaching time where the Bible is taught in creative ways; and Boost groups where leaders help kids apply the Bible to their lives.

Grapple (intermediate school kids). Grapple is a space for wrestling with big issues of faith and making deep connections with other ‘grapplers.’ In a grapple session, kids tackle tough questions through in-depth Bible teaching and creative videos.

Mainly Music

Mainly Music is a weekly programme for preschoolers and their mums that features music, rhythm and creative dance. It provides children with a structured learning environment and a time of free play, bringing adults and children together for a time of safe interaction and teaching. Mainly Music also provides an opportunity for parents to network with other parents of young children.

Shore runs a Mainly Music programme on Wednesday mornings at 9:30am. Prior booking is essential—email our Family Pastor Biffy Savage, or phone 415 0455.

Other Activities and Events for Kids

Throughout the year we run activities for kids and events that help integrate children into the life of our church. These include family services, social outings and special outreach events. We also give children and families the opportunity to reach out to other children in their local community through outreach events.
