Discipleship

Discipleship is the lifelong process of becoming like Jesus by loving God, loving others and loving the world, as he did.

At Shore we’re committed to producing mature disciples of Christ who are grounded in Scripture, immersed in grace, empowered by the Spirit, shaped in community, and engaged in God’s mission. Discipleship is not primarily about information, but about our transformation into the character of Jesus. It is a relational process that happens best when we share our journey with others.

That’s why at Shore, as well as Life Groups, we encourage people into smaller clusters of 2-4 people, called discipleship groups. These pairs and groups meet regularly to share life together, encourage, and pray for each other as we grow toward Jesus.

We also facilitate spiritual mentoring, whereby a more experienced follower of Jesus offers support, counsel and wisdom for your journey with God.
