Galatians 2:11-14
Paul’s conflict with Peter shows the importance of not allowing our tribal identity markers to become fences between us and others. The only identity marker we need is the cross and our faith in Christ.
Galatians 1:6-10 Paul is accused of being a people-pleaser, which is an addiction to the approval of others. The antidote to people-pleasing is becoming enslaved to the love of Christ and correcting negative self-talk that manifests itself in people-pleasing words and actions.
Galatians 1:1-15 In every one of his letters, Paul begins by wishing his readers grace and peace. These words are loaded with meaning and offer us incredible hope and comfort in the midst of the chaos and struggle that characterise much of our lives.
The book of Galatians confronts any attempt to add anything to Jesus and the gospel that detracts from the absolute supremacy of Jesus and the absolute sufficiency of the Holy Spirit.
