Welcome to Shore Community Church
We're a community of people learning to love God, love each other and love the world.

These simple values guide us as we seek to live out the way of Jesus authentically in a postmodern world. We do this by gathering to worship God together, centering our community around the Bible, practically caring for each other, bringing the gospel to bear on our culture, serving our local community, and getting on board with God’s mission in the broader world. We are imperfect people, but we’re pursuing a God who loves us perfectly. You are welcome to join us on that journey.

    Privileged Planet

    Series: God's Not Dead

    Speaker: Dr Adam Claasen

In the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Goldilocks finds a bowl of porridge that is neither too hot nor too cold but 'just right'. Astronomers have discovered that Earth is a rare 'just right' planet, positioned uniquely to support complex life. How probable is it that this could occur by mere chance?

    There was a Beginning

    Series: God's Not Dead

    Speaker: Dr Adam Claasen

Did the universe have a beginning? In the early part of the twentieth-century scientists emphatically believed NO! However, amazing discoveries over a fifty-year period overturned this position and led many thinkers not only to believe that universe had a beginning but that 'the cause' of the universe must be non-spacial, non-material, outside of time and immensely powerful.

Faith Is Not Blind (1 Peter 3:15)

    Series: God's Not Dead

    Speaker: Dr Adam Claasen

Belief in God is declining in many western countries, in part because of the mistaken assumption - stridently proclaimed by the 'new atheists' (Dawkins, Harris et al) - that science and reason have killed God. In spite of the critics' claims, REAL FAITH is not blind and we are always to be 'prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have'.
